Andrzej Panufnik Trio

The trio exists since 2003. Three young polish musicians have chosen for their patron Andrzej Panufnik - polish composer (1914-1991) who imigrated to Great Britain. Since then the ensemble has been studying with prof. Gerrit Zitterbart (ABEGG Trio), prof. Hatto Beyerle (former Alban Berg Quartet), prof. Adam Kostecki (Rubinstein Trio) and Marcin Sieniawski (Szymanowski String Quartet) at High School of Music and Drama Hannover and since 2005 is in the soloclass at this school.

Andrzej Panufnik Trio being since 2005 a member of prestigious European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) has opportunity to work with such pedagogues as Shmuel Ashkenasi
(Vermeer Quartet), prof. Elmar Budde, Peter Cropper (Lindsay String Quartet), Johannes Degen (Amati Quartett, Pearl Trio), Eckart Heiligers (Trio Jean Paul), Erich Höbarth, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Rainer Kußmaul (Stuttgarter Klaviertio), Martin Löhr
(Trio Jean Paul), Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), Vladimir Mendelssohn, Christoph Richter (Cherubini Quartet), Ulf Schneider (Trio Jean Paul), Gábor Tákacs-Nagy, Gérard Wyss and Jürg Wyttenbach.
In September 2006 the trio took part at the 4th Trondheim Chamber Music Festival and Academy, during which the ensemble was coached by Joseph Kalichstein, Lars Anders Tomter and Jesper Svedberg from Kungsbacka Trio (see pressarticle). The trio had also opportunity during this event to work on its modern repertoire with David Harrington from Kronos Quartet.

In 2005 Andrzej Panufnik Trio won 3rd prize at The Charles Hennen International Chamber Music Competition in Heerlen, Netherlands and was the best piano trio.
The trio performs throughout european countries - has played during Musikfest Goslar, Braunschweig Classix Festival, Kalkalpen Chamber Music Festival, Festival Pablo Casals Prades, in Bonbonnière Hall in Maastricht, in Philips Hall in Eindhoven, Bishops Palace
in Kielce. The ensemble played as well concerts during 2004-06 as a part of "Live Music Now" scholarhip program and since 2006 is supported by "Friedrich Jürgen Sellheim Gesellschaft", being on its artists list. In October 2006 the trio has received scholarship of "Märkische Kulturkonferenz".
Andrzej Panufnik Trio has made recordings for NDR (Northgerman Radio).
